Good but short June 12, 2005 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
To think, a game with 20 games would seem, you know, everlasting. I recently bought this game only to find after about 2 hours of APB, NARC, MK 2 & 3, Kosmik Kroozer, Xybots and Xenophobia (Hard Drivin' an exception) things got repetitive. It was fantastic, but we are spoilt by the likes of Halo 2 (Xybots), and for PS2 owners GTA San Andreas (NARC). Nowadays we play really long games that take a lifetime to do every thing. Buy it, yes, but its better if you are at least 38 to know about these games.
short fun January 7, 2005 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I must admit i purchased this only for gauntlet 2 a great game, a lot of the other games are really not worth the effort.
Fond Memories Should Be Kept As Memories November 21, 2004 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
I dotn buy xBox games often and when i saw this on the shelf I immediately grabbed a copy. Pit-Fighter, Rampage, Hard Drivin', Total Carnage and Mortal Kombat 2 all bring back fond memories. But as a one player Game, all fail miserably. Games witht he exception of MK2 are all stilted and with the free play setting to on offer no challenge, and are to be played until boredom sets in. 2 player, 3 player (Rampage) and 4 Player (Gauntlet) are how these games are to be played. And with all but one game being 2 players and above thats good. Aside, arcade quality conversions: perfection. Id forgotten how ridiculously hard NARC was, and how impossibly long it took to kill the bosses in Total Carbage. And im not even old enough to remember soem of these games: im assured they are classics. But 14.99 is a bragain for Rampage alone. Dim the lights, turn up some mid eighties cheese pop and stup some cigarettes into you TV, you could almost be back in that dingy bowling alley.
