Tragically tired. September 1, 2005 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
Really disappointing FPS. No atmosphere whatsoever and poor AI spoil what could have been a really good game. The weapon effects are extremely lame in this game and they feel like they do nothing.. Overall a bland experience
Not That Good! July 27, 2005 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This game was simply not that good, gameplay and graphics were as good as you would expect from a console that has been around for 4 years now and so games producers are familiar enough with it to be able to draw on all it's processing power. It was still clunky and unimaginitive in places and some of the puzzles along the way were just not all that puzzling!Duchovny is lack-lustre and it wasn't long before I despised the character I was playing which was a first. A couple of years ago this would have been a top game, but not in '05.
Awesome July 10, 2005 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
This has to be one of the greatest games ever. The graphics are breath taking and some of the fight scenes, particularly at the beginning are unbelieveable. It has a very deep storyline, and I can't think of any criticisms. A definite must have!

Very Good: Manson and Booth voice acting. Good: Well balanced difficulty, above average cut-sceens quality and script, good camera Not so Good: It allways gives the impressions it was made in a very tight schedule - the production, although not cheap, it is not polished at all; Duvochny voice acting seems to try to put you to sleep; not enough cut sceens to illustrate the story (and because they are quite good, I should say), the control system could be improved; flat main charecter, laughable physics. Bad: No replay value, multi-player. note: I think this review will not be printed... .
Best first person shooter yet? June 23, 2005 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Area 51 has a lot of good sides to it but also a few bad sides.Starting with the good i think area 51 has a great story mode much better than games like halo 2 (and i think most of you who have halo 2 will say the campaign is a bit sukkish).Set in area 51 (well deh) it has a good selection of human weapons but dissapiontingly only 2 different types of alien weapons. The story mode also features amazing action scenes with hardly any bits where you can't find an enemy. The bad news about area 51 is the multiplayer is really bad.Sure there are about 15 maps but most of them are very small and the worst part is there is only one type of multiplayer game, deathmatch and that is just terrible. Overall i give the story mode 5 stars but the multiplayer mode a dissapointing 2 stars.Really, don't invite your friends over to play on this with you!
