 Don't last very long January 8, 2009
Love Singstar - hate the mics. We are on our third set. They start cutting out after about 20hrs play.

As the previous two reviews are just to have a gripe at amazon I thought it was only fair to actually review the product, as the review page is for the product, not to air your disgrace with amazon!!!!
These mics are great for the playstation singstar games. Some of the games are available as a whole package including the mics, so if you don't have any its best to buy the game with the mics included to avoid disappointments.
The mics are quite high quility and are very sturdy when used for the purpose they are intended. I say that, because my sons broke the end off one of our mics when they decided to play light sabre games with them, so although it broke, it was not because of the mics being cheap tat.
Anyway, I bought some more with another game and they have lasted really well and are still like new to be honest and yet we are singing all the time with them.
I think that the mics being sold separately is quite a good idea and they are very reasonably priced for the quality of them, although I'd still like to see them being sold with the games too.
The mics can also be used on laptops or computers for voice calls over msn, which is an added little bonus that we discovered when my hubby was working away in Spain and we wanted to talk to him, so I just tried the mic in the mic slot and discovered it worked perfectly for my voicecall (except for having to hold the mic, but its only like holding a phone).
Well worth the money!!

Hey people you re supposed to be reviewing the item not telling everyone your problems with Amazon. I have these microphones and had no problems, have nt tried them on my PS3 yet. My only negative is that whichever mic I m singing into does nt appreciate my singing ability and over scores the other persons droning effort.

I ordered this later, on 30th Nov, but now see that its going to be delivered after Christmas. As this is a present, I feel very let down by Amazon too. Unfortunately, the other part of this present is the Singstar game, so I have no other option but to wait for it to come. How disappointed is the person going to be to discover that they can't actually use my gift until...January?

I ordered this produt which was 17.99 (NEW) from Amazon, I placed the order on the 16th of November and was told delivery would be between the 3rd and the 16th of December just in time for Christmas. I checked on the 13th of December and the item still had not been dispatched so I called Amazon and was told "Oh! our supplier promised us that they would be dispatched by the 12th of December but they haven't done it, would you like me to cancel the order?" As this item was supposed to be a Christmas present I had no choice but to cancel and have just over a week to find them somewhere else by Christmas.
