Product Description So youve got the latest 8GHz processor, a real sexy computer case, a hard disk the size of a Shoguns spare wheel and a screen with more focus than a radio telescope so why did you scrimp on the keyboard? Many of todays computers play a dual role, on the one hand they have to be hard working business tools and on the other, capable game stations. The trouble is, all computers come with a standard keyboard that makes typing easy but gaming tedious. The Zboard is the ONLY keyboard that gives you hot swappable key sets. One minute you have a professional Multimedia office keyboard, the next, an unbeatable gaming platform to make sense of all that power. Each key set can be changed in less than 10 seconds without the need to turn off or re-boot the computer. Simply unclip one end, lift out and replace with the other key set its that easy.

Disappointment in availability of replacements September 26, 2008 I was bought a Zboard complete with games keyboard and World Warcraft board last Christmas. The QWERTY keyboard has failed in that 2 keys are no longer working and nowhere can I find a replacement.I prefer the standard keyboard in everyday use so I tried changing the 2 keys ,but to no avail. My World Warcraft operates ALL characters, which tells me it is the actual keys from the board that must be at fault.Any solutions would be welcome
great keybord June 14, 2008 i just got this and im in love with it, im mostly using the normal layout, when i wait for my age of conan keyset to arrive
the media keys work perfectly, you can change the controls for the other keyset in the software which comes with it
i would recommend it to any one
oh yeah the only problem i have had is, my right control sticks 1 in 10 times
Zboard great while it lasts April 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well, I had one of these last year for Guild Wars and having the short keys for your fav games is great. But these things are very unreliable. Mine I had 6 of the keys stick. Now gamers are going to beat up a keyboard more than most so why is this piece of kit not robust? I'm not playing international track and field where you knew you had to buy several controllers to win lol.
I give two because my version broke, but I was not giving it a hammering so that why I post this review to warn. It should be robust. I would maybe consider a logitech product, they are sound.
Good for some games January 19, 2008 I've found this keyboard to be clever and certainly useful for some games. But the non movement keys are very awkward and badly positioned, and make typing difficult. Clever and useful for some games but I'm not sure it's worth it considering the price.
Z board - Long Term review December 27, 2007 I've been using the Z board for a year now, almost exclusively for playing Wow, although I have just been given another overlay for Christmas (BF:2142). The pad has helped me tremendously. While not being as big a gamer as some, I have found that this keyboard really simplifies many of the functions I use daily in Wow. It helps in Raids and with emotes. There are many many single button commands keys and any you don't use in-game can usually be remapped for functions you do need. Each key is clearly labelled and while the WoW keyset is not such a radical departure from a standard keyboard, as many of the standard keys are required for chatting, the custom overlays such as BF:2142 and indeed the FPS overlay which comes with this starter set, simplify the layout while easing potential RSI problems that W,A,S,D keys could cause.
1 year on, and I am pleasently surprised to see that none of the keyboard transfers are worn away, despite constant key mashing and the almost continuous use of some of the numeric keys in MMORPG games. The standard keyboard overlay is also of good quality. It's easy to clean, how many times have your cursed debris lodged between your keys?
One tip I would give is: make a note of which USB port you plug this into, as if you ever unplug all your USB peripherals, the Z board does not like moving ports.
1 other minor, minus point: I found the built-in USB ports a little underpowered, but OK for USB sticks, surely the main use for the on-board ports anyway. I would still recommend highly, and hope that Ideazon will produce more compatible keysets.
