Works well (for Playstation and PC) but fairly weak force feedback January 2, 2009
I bought this wheel after repeated failures with a product I had been using beforehand, the Thrustmaster GT 2-in-1 force feedback wheel for PS2 and PC. I wanted a wheel that would work with both the Playstation 2 and also with my Windows PC. That wheel was advertised to work with both and did so very well, but poor hardware resulted in repeated failures and so I decided to get a refund and not purchase any more of those units.
I therefore came to this wheel with some definite expectations. For the most part the wheel does live up to them.
The wheel works perfectly well on both the Playstation 2 and my PC (running Windows XP), despite only being advertised for the Playstation. Upon connecting it to the PC and installing the Logitech Formula Force EX drivers, the wheel is recognised (as a Driving Force EX wheel) and all the functions work as expected, including force feedback.
The wheel itself is rugged and has so far lasted a couple of years of use including some fairly rough handling from my son and other children that have used it.
The biggest problem I have with it is that the force feedback is really very tame. The Thrustmaster wheel I had been using before could rip the wheel out of your hands on maximum strength, which gave you a great choice about how strong you wanted the forces to be. The Logitech wheel does little more than vibrate; you can tell that you've crashed into something or that you're driving off the track, but it's not nearly as intense as the Thrustmaster wheel.
All things considered though this wheel has lasted me well so far and does a perfectly adequate job. While I do have a small degree of disappointment with it, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a wheel for their PC or Playstation.

This wheel is an absolute bargain! The force feedback is a thrill - and really powerful! Highly reccommend this to anyone who is looking for a cheep high quality wheel. The lap attachment included is great and the pedals are also good.
Only problem i find in this product - far too many wires, but who can complain for this price and you don't notice once your into your game.

Just received this for my birthday (38). I am finding it brilliant with GT5. Makes the game much more realistic especially with the Force Feedback. Would recommend to anyone. Don't know if it has any shortfalls for a die-hard gamer but for casual, not especially competative, players like me it's great. The only comment is the method of holding between your legs!! after a while it makes your thigh muscles ache and the foot pedals are plenty close together so I have to use my left foot on the brake. Minor issues however. Especially now has dropped further in price I would definately recommend. Quality product.

this wheel is a great peice of technology,i have been using this for nfs carbon for the ps2, 10/10 excellent, the force feedback gives a realistic feel to the game, this wheel is only good if it is clamped to a table, it is great, the wheel has a very comfortable rubber, with a good rotation resistance strength, havnt been able to get out of the driving seat with the logitech driving force EX steering wheel.

this steering wheel has worked perfectly on my ps3. i have found that it is compatible with every game i ave used it on, which includes Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Racedriver GRID and Formula One Championship. The force feedback has worked on all of these games as have all the components of the wheel. It has great adaptability as it can be clamped to a desk (which by the way doesn't damage the desk at all) or it can be held between your knees (which i didn't try as it wasn't necessary) The pedals worked perfectly, however they can move around a bit on wooden floors so i found it better to use sticky fixers or blue tac to fix it properly.
All things taken into account i am very glad i bought this wheel and not an unnecessarily expensive wheel that is not from what i can gather any better. Perfect for any PS3 racer.
