Product Description Bond is Back! Based on the "Quantum of Solace" and "Casino Royale" films, Quantum of Solace places you in the ruthless world of international espionage and intrigue.
Amazon.co.uk Review There never was a video game of Casino Royale, but now Activision is making up for lost time with a title that incorporates both Casino Royale and its immediate sequel, Quantum of Solace. It’s primarily a first-person shooter, but it does switch to an over-the-shoulder view when hiding under cover or taking part in interactive cut scenes. Daniel Craig is a big games fan and has taken a personal interest in the game | Almost everything in the game can be destroyed or damaged | Stealth is just as important as gunplay when you’re James Bond | Close combat switches out of first person view for a more cinematic effect | Just like the Bond movies, the game offers a mixture of action and stealth, with the chance to take down enemies instantly if they don’t see you. You’ll almost always be outgunned, but you’re given clues as to which strategy to take by the changing music. Bond's aresenal has been slimmed down in the new films, so it makes sense that there aren’t many gadgets in the game. There is an online multiplayer mode that pays homage to past classic Bond games such as GoldenEye 007. Which should hopefully make Bond’s video game comeback as successful as his cinematic return. Key Features - You only live twice: Recreate the stories of both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace in one game, including deleted scenes and new side missions.
- Duty calls: The game uses the same graphics technology as Call of Duty 4, including bullets that realistically pass through wood and other materials.
- You know his name: The game features not only the voice and likeness of Daniel Craig, but also Judi Dench as M, Mathieu Amalric as villain Dominic Greene, and Olga Kruylenko as Camille.
- Shaken not stirred: A mix of first- and third-person viewpoints allows for both shooter action and tense stealth-based exploration.
- Licence to kill: Battle friends in the online mode in a wide range of game types.
About the Developer: Treyarch One of publisher Activision’s biggest internal studios, Treyarch have worked on many of the company’s best known titles, from the Spider-Man movie tie-ins and spin-offs to several of the Call of Duty sequels and, of course, the new James Bond game, Quantum of Solace.

3 Stars for multiplayer 1 star for game January 5, 2009 I completed this game after about 10 hours of play. I am not bragging as honestly I am not very good at games, this is merely an indication of how short the game is. It is not a bad game, the controls are pretty good and the graphics are what you expect on the Wii. The game is completely on rails, you cannot go off anywhere that isn't in the script, even if there is an open door you cannot go through it unless that is what is planned. So it gets tedious pretty quickly.
The highlight of the game and the only reason for buying it is the multiplayer feature. This is an absolute joy but not a real improvement on Goldeneye. I wish they had spent a bit longer on the game because it has a lot of potential.
Quantum of Solace a very poor game January 5, 2009 In short the game seems to be rushed to market for the Wii. The grapics are average, but the game becomes mediocre after a few hours play. You end up using the same strategies level after level. The game has severe problems with lagging at every stage. In my first day of playing the game shut down twice. In terms of a smooth reliable enjoyable game, Quantum of Solace comes a poor last. I am only thankful the games was a gift as I would have returned it.
James Bond - super spy January 3, 2009 Great game, especially good with the wii zapper or light gun, very good levels, challenging. Also, there is a good variety of levels.
great game.
A good shooting game December 30, 2008 This is a good game but you must like the shooter games as that is all you do, nothing much to challenge your mental skills, I would of preferred a few puzzles to solve rather than it moves shoot it.
Apart from it being just a shoot up it is very cleaver, the bad guys have lots of fire power, your not killed instantly, If you take cover your life level is restored.
I have the cross bow type gun which works very well, I found It doubly hard using the controls without a gun attachment.
A good game If you enjoy shooting everything that moves and as long as you don't want puzzles to solve.
Fun-but it has it's drawbacks December 29, 2008 Well i was starved of a online FPS on wii since medal of honor heroes 2. I knew quantum of solace wasnt going to be great, but it was worse than i thought. I got this game on my birthday and my immediate impressions where that i had bought a bog standard wii fPS. My impressions where later confirmed.
Graphics 2/5: Simply awful. I know the wii doesnt have that good graphics but these are really, really bad. Some parts are good, for example bond looks freakishly like daniel craig and gun models are pretty good. But overall its pretty bad. There are little to no special effects and the ones there are are pretty bad. But hey, if you own a wii you shouldnt care much about graphics as long as they're acceptable.
Gameplay 4/5: It's a basic FPS. Run and gun, but you can take cover and blindfire on your enemies and take them out in close quarter stealth takedowns, its a interesting addition and they are both surpisingly robust. But for anyone looking for a really fresh and innovative FPS don't expect much here. But overall, for a FPS fan this is a really good game in terms of gameplay.
Lasting appeal 3/5: The campaign will take you a couple of hours at absolute most, thats if you can bypass the many glitches like the one in the second to last level which basically stops you from progressing any further. In terms of online multiplayer it's fun but shallow, it includes 4 players online, 12 classes with their own unique weapons, 4 game modes, 7 maps and not much besides. Your almost always in the action in every map and some levels are very well designed, but in the end there isnt much to come back for.
The game is choc a block with glitches, bugs, frame rate drops and bad effects, but if your willing to look past these theres a good game buried here, but it will never get the chance to shine. If you can, i would reccomend qos's bigger, bolder and better cousin call of duty world at war.
